"Barbara Lewis Marco is a genius at capturing emotion through her art. The Little Book of Courage demonstrates her talent beautifully. It truly is a gem!"
Susan Jeffers, Ph.D., Author of "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway" and "Embracing Uncertainty"
"Many books take hundreds of pages trying to help us see what we are all about, what holds us back and what spurs us on. Barbara Marco has put it all into her Little Book of Courage by removing the extraneous and inserting a magical combination of imagery, laser focus and love. A must read!

Welcome to the home page of Barbara Lewis Marco Author, artist, hospital artist-in-residence, expressive arts workshop facilitator.
It's a long road from Hollywood to healing, but I have traveled it. I went from being a stressed out film development executive in a world dominated by image, power, and money, to an infinitely richer, deeper, more fulfilling focus on human beings connecting with themselves and each other through art, sometimes in the midst of tremendous suffering. As I went through my own healing process from injuries that left me in severe chronic pain and disability, I became an artist, and I learned that art is a powerful healing tool. Now I use art to help others. I've created two illustrated books which can serve as "healing guides", and I do artwork bedside with terminal patients and their families through
The Creative Center, Arts For People With Cancer and their Hospital Artist-in-Residence program. At Columbia Presbyterian Hospital I run weekly hospital clinic art programs for neurologically impaired children, children with cancer, and teach art workshops to medical students. I also work with hospice staff, and bereavement groups. Please check out the bio section for more information.

I have found that a large part of healing is looking deeply at our fears, confronting them, and acting to empower ourselves to transform our lives and embody our greatest potentials.
"The Little Book Of Courage, An Illustrated Guide To Challenging Our Fears"
is an amusing, inspirational, illustrated guidebook to becoming aware of our fears and anxieties. In words and pictures it maps the process of beginning to challenge those fears so that we can ultimately grow stronger, feel freer, and live more joyfully.
